These pages show data read from my weather station (an Ecowitt WN90LP) via Modbus, pushed out to Home Assistant via MQTT, then read into Prometheus for storage.

This page in particular shows the wind speed and direction over the last 24 hours. The main axis is in kilometres per hour; the grid lines show the Beaufort scale numbers. The solid line shows the running average over a 10-minute period; the dots show individual gust speeds as reported by the weather station. The noise floor (about 0.5 m/s or 1.8 km/h) and resolution are quite noticeable.

The arrows underneath the graph show the average wind direction for every hour (i.e. over the interval centered on that hour). The transparency (opacity) reflects the variance — at low wind speeds, wind direction is hard to gauge, and the indication tends to show as more transparent.

The setup of the weather station is not ideal, so these values will likely show significant artifacts (my house is taller than the height the sensor package is mounted at). Take them with a grain of salt.
